Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a Private Day Nursery founded in 2003 and now has 6 settings across Leigh, Wigan and Bolton.
The overall aim for the nurseries is to ensure that all children are ready for each transition in their life whether that be to a new room in the nursery or to begin their journey to school. Each child is viewed as an individual and the learning intentions are planned purposefully around each child’s interests.
We are looking for qualified nursery assistants to support this setting on a long-term, short-term, temp to perm and day-to-day basis.
We can offer flexibility as we cover a variety of shifts, between 8am-6pm, Monday- Friday.
If successful you will be joining an environment experienced in child development and early years teaching to ensure that the children receive first class educational experiences.
The successful candidate will:
- A recognised qualification in Childcare Level 2 or 3
- Have experience supporting children aged 0-5 in a formal setting
- Knowledge of the EYFS
- Have a calm, pro-active nature
- Be able to work on own initiative
- Have an excellent standard of written and verbal English
Duties:
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
- To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment.
- To work with all age groups, and cover in different rooms as required.
- To follow and implement all of the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Right to Work in the UK
- An enhanced DBS on the update Service or be willing to purchase one at a cost of £60.50
- At least two references covering the last two years of employment
- An understanding of how to effectively safeguard children in an education setting
