Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a Mainstream Secondary School in Leigh.
This rewarding role will start ASAP and involves providing 1:1 support in the mornings to a pupil with Special Educational Needs who is working at primary age level. In the afternoons, you will support other students with EHCPs on both a 1:1 basis and in small group settings, helping them to access learning and achieve their full potential.
Working hours- Monday to Friday, 8.30am – 3.15pm.
Pay: £87.00 – £95.00 per day
The school is rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted and is well-regarded in the local area. It has high expectations of its students and boasts a creative and caring culture with high levels of pupil achievement alongside cultivating the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of its students.
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a relevant Teaching and Learning Level 2 or 3 qualification OR evidence of recent classroom experience
- Be flexible, adaptable and work on own initiative
- Be patient, calm and kind order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Have a clear and current enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain one
- Confidently manage challenging behaviours
- Have SEND Experience
