Mandarin Teacher

Hazel Tree have been approached with an excellent opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic qualified Mandarin Teacher to join a welcoming secondary school on a part-time, fixed-term basis.

You will be responsible for delivering engaging Mandarin lessons to students, fostering an interest in language learning and supporting their progress in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

September 2026 start till May 2027- Approx. 5 hours per fortnight (flexible scheduling)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Mandarin lessons in line with curriculum expectations
• Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of all learners
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback
• Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment

Candidate Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred
• Strong subject knowledge in Mandarin
• Experience teaching in a secondary school setting is desirable
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A flexible and proactive approach
• Enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
