Learning Support Assistant

Hazel Tree are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a specialist School in Liverpool. The school is known for its creative, inclusive, and student-focused approach. 

The school provides a supportive learning environment for students with Special Education Needs. The school provides small class sizes up to around 10 students per class, allowing for individualised student support within a nurturing environment. 

Your responsibilities will include providing one-to-one and small group support across various subjects including Maths, English, Media, Drama, Music, and P.E 

We are looking for candidates to complete a trial at the school and if that goes well, there will then be a Temporary 12-week contract followed by a Permanent role will be offered for September start.  

Free on-site parking and a dedicated Senior Leadership Team within the school will make you feel at home from day 1.  

The role will include: 

• Support for learning activities 

• Assist with the preparation of recourses 

• Implementing and agreeing on targets with the students 

Successful candidates must have: 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

• Experience within an SEN environment  

• Patience, empathy, and adaptability 

• Previous experience in an educational setting 

• An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to obtain a new one.

• At least two references including most recent/current employer. 

• Right to work in the UK. 

• A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication.
