Hazel Tree Education are recruiting for Classroom Support Assistants in Liverpool.

Due to increased demand, Hazel Tree Education are looking for Classroom Support Assistants to work in mainstream and SEN schools with children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities based in Liverpool and the surrounding areas.

We are currently working with both primary and secondary schools who require flexible, temporary support staff for both full and part-time opportunities to work with children. This could include learners with a range of complex needs including Autism, ADHD and Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.

No experience is necessary as we can offer a unique, in-house program of courses and training, developed and delivered by a qualified teacher, to ensure that you feel supported in your role.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in managing classroom activities and supporting students’ learning needs.
  • Provide individualised support to children, including those with special educational needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive environment by promoting effective communication and collaboration among students.
  • Engage in interventions
  • Planning and delivering of classroom activities
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to improve skills in working with children.

Applicants must have:

  • An interest in working with children with additional needs
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • A willingness to learn and undertake opportunities for professional development
  • A patient, calm and kind demeanor in order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • At least two references covering the last two years of employment
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Child and Adult Workforce or be willing to purchase one at a cost of £60.50
