Cover Supervisor

Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a High school in Wigan, who require a Cover Supervisor on a flexible basis.

The Cover Supervisor position entails supporting students aged 11-16 across a variety of subjects in Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5. You will be tasked with delivering the lessons set by the class teacher and ensuring that students stay on task.

Working hours: Mon-Friday, 8:30am-15:30pm.

What we’re looking for:

  • A recognised qualification in Teaching and Learning or Childcare or experience working with children in a formal setting e.g school, residential, sports coaching.
  • An interest in supporting children with additional needs.
  • A resilient, pro-active nature with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • A confident individual equipped to manage challenging behaviours and situations.

Successful candidates must have:

  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to purchase one at a cost of £60.50
  • At least two references including most recent/current employer.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • A good standard of literacy and numeracy with excellent written and verbal communication.
