Hazel Tree Education are looking for a full-time English Teacher to work within an alternative provision in Wigan.
All learners have an EHCP, due to complex emotional, mental health, social and behavioral needs. Offering tailored education to KS3-KS4 learners.
The ideal candidate will be confident with the ability to tailor subjects to reflect learners individual requirements. Making lessons, fun and interactive.
This position will require that you possess a genuine joy for working with children and an ability to create a warm, supportive classroom environment. You will work with students who have developmental challenges and need extra support, alongside a team that is dedicated to helping children reach their full potential.
Applicants must have:
- PGCE with QTS
- The ability to track, monitor and report on pupils’ progress
- A resilient nature, excellent communication skills and a creative, inspirational approach to classroom practice
- Strong behaviour management skills
- Two references including most recent employer
- Right to work in the UK
- A clear DBS on the Update Service
