Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a primary school in Leigh, catering for children aged from 2+ to 11 years. The school requires an enthusiastic and capable Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) on a part time basis.

The School aims for all children to be resilient learners. Teaching and promoting Growth Mindset based on the work of Professor Carol Dweck. This is to encourage the children as learners to be open to new experiences and not to be afraid to try and fail.

The role is part-time, offering flexibility to cover between 8:30am-15:30pm, Monday- Friday.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Teaching and Learning Level 4 qualification /HLTA qualification/ PGCE
  • Have evidence of recent classroom experience
  • Be flexible, adaptable and work on own initiative
  • Be patient, calm and kind order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • Have a clear and current DBS on the Update Service
  • Confidently cover classes, set by the Teacher
