Junior Education Recruitment Consultant – Hazel Tree Education Recruitment

Location: Hybrid Remote/Warrington

Hours: Full-time (exact hours to be discussed at interview)

Salary: £25k starting salary + commission

Are you looking to kickstart your career in education recruitment with a company that makes a real difference in education? Hazel Tree Education is growing, and we’re looking for a motivated, people-focused Junior Recruitment Consultant to join our team.

Established in 2022, we are a small, family-run business that already has a considerable stronghold in Wigan and Warrington, and now we’re looking to expand further. We aim to do things the right way, and pride ourselves on breaking the mould of the typical, competitive recruitment environment, instead creating a welcoming, supportive culture that focuses on recognising achievement and the importance of teamwork.

The Role

As a Junior Recruitment Consultant, you’ll learn the ropes of education recruitment while being fully supported by experienced mentors. Your role will include:

  • Building strong relationships with schools, teachers and support staff
  • Sourcing and interviewing candidates through job boards for roles in primary, secondary and SEN settings
  • Creating effective marketing materials to send to schools to highlight suitable candidates
  • Matching candidates to vacancies and ensuring the right fit
  • Attending careers events and jobs fairs
  • Becoming proficient in operating and utilising the CRM
  • Assisting with compliance and safeguarding checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE 2025)
  • Supporting the wider team with business development and administrative tasks

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need prior recruitment experience – just the right attitude and willingness to learn. We’d love to hear from you if you are:

  • Motivated, resilient and eager to succeed
  • An effective communicator with an excellent standard of written and verbal English
  • Confident picking up the phone and making cold calls as well as liaising with candidates and schools
  • Organised, able to manage priorities and work on your own initiative
  • A team player who has an appetite for success but also enjoys seeing others succeed
  • Passionate about education
  • Ideally experienced in sales, customer service or education (though not essential)

What We Offer

  • Flexible working – 1-2 days per week at a modern, communal office space in Birchwood
  • 30 days holiday per year + bank holidays (plus an extra day for each year of service, capped at 35 days)
  • Reduced working hours during the school holidays
  • Comprehensive 1:1 training and ongoing support
  • A clear career development pathway with opportunities to progress into a consultant role
  • Competitive base salary + a generous, uncapped commission structure
  • No unrealistic KPIs – we expect results but recognise that results can be achieved without a cutthroat environment
  • A supportive, friendly team culture where your ideas and input are valued
  • Regular team socials and paid monthly lunch meetings

If you’re ready to start a long-lasting and lucrative career with an agency that promotes integrity and values over bums on seats for a quick profit, we’d love to hear from you!
