Music Teacher

Hazel Tree Education are supporting an Outstanding SEN secondary school in Wigan in their search for a Music Teacher.

The role starts ASAP for short term cover, full time basis, working hours Monday- Friday, 8:25am – 3:05pm.

The school caters for pupils aged 11-19 with a range of complex needs, preparing them for the future to develop the skills and qualities they will need to make a positive contribution to the community. With high expectations in terms of academic, social, and personal achievements, the school is a safe, caring environment where every individual is nurtured.

This long-term role presents an opportunity to work alongside a team of dedicated, knowledgeable education professionals in a highly regarded ‘Outstanding’ provision.

Must have

• Working experience with SEN
• A recognised teaching qualification such as PGCE with QTS and experience teaching in UK schools
• The ability to track, monitor and report on pupils’ progress
• A resilient nature, excellent communication skills and a creative, inspirational approach to classroom practice
• Strong behaviour management skills
• Right to work in the UK
• The ability to build professional relationships with vulnerable learners
• Enhanced DBS on the update service
