Hazel Tree Education are recruiting for Trainee Classroom Support Assistants

Due to growing demand, Hazel Tree Education is looking to recruit Trainee Classroom Support Assistants to work in schools across Wigan and the surrounding areas, supporting children with Special Educational Needs.

We work closely with both primary and secondary schools to provide flexible, temporary staffing solutions. These opportunities include both full-time and part-time roles supporting children with a variety of complex needs, such as Autism, ADHD, and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges. Our goal is to match skilled and compassionate individuals with schools that require additional support to create inclusive and nurturing learning environments.

No experience is necessary as we can offer a unique, in-house program of courses and training, developed and delivered by a qualified teacher, to ensure that you feel supported in your role.

Applicants must have:

  • An interest in working with children with additional needs
  • A positive, can-do attitude
  • The ability to work on own initiative
  • A willingness to learn and undertake opportunities for professional development
  • A patient, calm and kind demeanour in order to form positive, trusting relationships with pupils
  • At least two references covering the last two years of employment
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Child and Adult Workforce or be willing to purchase one at a cost of £60.50
