Hazel Tree Education are currently supporting a number of secondary schools in Wigan and surrounding areas who require Trainee Cover Supervisors to deliver a range of subjects across the curriculum to learners aged 11 to 16 on a day-to-day, short-term basis.
The ideal candidate will be resilient, articulate and feel confident managing a classroom of learners. A good knowledge across the curriculum would be advantageous, and previous experience within a school setting would be desirable but is not essential. As a Trainee Cover Supervisor, you will not be expected to teach or create any resources, but to deliver the material set by the class teacher and ensure that pupils are on task.
Ideally, you will have:
- Experience working with children or young people
- A high standard of written and spoken English
- The confidence to manage challenging behaviour whilst ensuring students are kept on track
Successful candidates must have:
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update service or be willing to purchase one at a cost of £60.50.
- At least two references including most recent/current employer.
- Right to work in the UK.
